There are plants in Toscolano Maderno that are normally seen in Cuba, Santo Domingo, the Canary Islands, Malindi, Beijing, the Seychelles, Maldives, Bali and Sydney. Plants from five continents, and even and African olive tree, can be found in the "G. E. Ghirardi" botanical garden, owned by the Università degli Studi di Milano and open for visits from May to September, thanks to the Comunità Montana Parco Alto Garda.
